...is an information site devoted to gathering and sharing information regarding the need for marrow donors, and specifically to help Todd Pruett from West Bend, WI

Todd Pruett, a resident of West Bend, Wisconsin, learned in August 2009 that he has a blood disorder called MDS, which is a precursor to leukemia. His bone marrow cannot produce healthy blood cells.  Family members have been tested but are not compatible, and as a result, he needs a  marrow transplant from an unrelated donor. Todd is the father of four boys, the youngest in eighth grade.  

On February 6, members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church hosted a marrow drive and thanks to members of the church and family and friends of Todd, we were able to spread the word widely and had about 700 people show up to register as marrow donors.  Many others registered online.

Thank you, to the nearly thousand volunteers who registered because they heard about the need through "doit4Pruett."

Hello, my name is Darrin Ferguson, I am the assistant coach of Newburg Red Pony League team. For the past 4 weeks I have been working with Tanner Pruett, Stewart Walters, Sean McMhan and West Bend little league to kick off the 1st annual www.doit4pruett.com  baseball tournament. We are looking for teams 12 to 14 year olds (with a few 15 yr olds) to play in this tournament. It is a great cause to help educate kids of the need to become donors when they are old enough to do so.

It is also to honor our friend Todd Pruett for his own courage and for his compassion to make a difference in other people’s lives.  We plan on doing this each year to continue the drive to educate children of the need of donors and the commitment they need to give, to possibly one day save a life. This was a vision Todd and I both shared from the beginning of the marrow drive. The goal of www.doit4pruett.com is to educate as many people as we can and to make everyone aware of these causes. I know that this is short notice but please consider the cause and call me ASAP to get registered for this tournament and make it a success for years to come.

The goal this year for the funds raised is to help the Pruett family. In years to come our goal will be to assist other families in need of support or funds toward marrow testing.
